Yamamoto Tanuki Instant Curry Udon Review<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Laat ik beginnen met bekennen dat ik een - ongezonde - obsessie heb met instant noedels. Iedere keer dat ik in de toko ben moet ik gewoon even kijken of ze nieuwe interessante smaken noedels hebben! En laat dat nou net zijn hoe ik ook deze Tanuki instant Curry Udon van Yamamto heb gevonden. Ik ben gek op udon noedels en een goede kom Japanse curry met rijst gaat er ook altijd wel in, dus jullie begrijpen wel dat ik erg enthousiast was om een combinatie van deze twee te proeven.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

De Verpakking & Ingredi\u00ebnten<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Aan de hand van de sticker op de achterkant met daarop de vertaalde ingredi\u00ebnten lijken de curry noedels geschikt te zijn voor vegetari\u00ebrs en misschien zelfs ook volledig voor vegans! Maar gezien ik het grootste deel van de ingredi\u00ebnten in de originele (Japanse) tekst niet zelf kan lezen is het niet volledig betrouwbaar om hier van uit te gaan.
De verpakking bevat twee porties en aan de hand van de foto's op de voorkant vroeg ik mij vooral af of het om een soep op poederbasis zou gaan, of meer een pasta met wellicht kleine stukjes vlees erin. Maar achteraf blijkt dit vooral een serveersuggestie te zijn. In de verpakking zitten namelijk twee losse porties udon noedels en poeder om de bouillon mee aan te maken. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bereiding van de Curry Udon<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Met mijn - helaas nog - erg gelimiteerde kennis van de Japanse taal en de plaatjes op de achterkant van de verpakking heb ik weten uit te vogelen hoe ik de curry udon moest bereiden. En, zoals bij eigenlijk alle instant noedels het geval is, was ook deze belachelijk simpel om klaar te maken.
De bedoeling is dat je 1 portie udon noedels voor 1.5 minuut kookt in 300ml water. Vervolgens draai je het vuur uit, voeg je de bouillonpoeder toe en roer je het goed door. Dan is het al klaar om in een kom te gieten!
Gezien het ramen is heb ik zelf nog een zachtgekookt eitje en wat gesneden lente-ui toegevoegd om het compleet te maken. Normaal gesproken voeg ik vaak ook nog knoflook of chili olie toe, maar ik wilde graag eerst de soep zelf goed kunnen proeven.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mijn verwachtingen vooraf waren dat het best aardig zou smaken \u00f3f dat de curry veel te overheersend zou kunnen zijn. Gelukkig kan ik melden dat dat laatste niet het geval bleek te zijn.
De soep heeft een goede balans van gewone ramen en een subtiele - maar niet te flauwe - curry smaak. Zeker voor instant noedelsoep zitten er eigenlijk nog best veel verschillende kruiden en smaken in verwerkt.
De udon heeft nog verrassend veel bite, maar - zoals verwacht - is het alsnog niet te vergelijken met verse udon. Voor instant udon waren ze echter wel bovengemiddeld.
Mijn conclusie: deze zal ik zeker nog eens vaker kopen! Ze zijn smaakvoller dan de meeste instant noedels door de curry en ze zijn echt top om mee op te warmen tijdens een koude dag. Probeer ze dus zeker eens als je ze tegen komt!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
