Food Review: Ter Marsch & Co Kalverstraat <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ter Marsch & Co invited me to come and try some of their delicious fast food at their Kalverstraat location, in the center of Amsterdam. I have visited one of their locations before – when they still had a restaurant in Utrecht – but it was only a brief visit, so I was very excited to try out more of their menu!<\/p>

In my opinion, Ter Marsch & Co<\/strong><\/span><\/a> elevates simple fast food and makes every dish special by adding their own little twist. Yes, you can also order a simple portion of fries, but for every other single item on their menu, they created their own signature version of the dish. So if you like to explore new and exciting flavors in familiar food, this is the place to be.<\/p>

My top recommendations are pretty straightforward: get yourself a juicy Big Marsch Burger<\/strong> with a serving of their Signature Fries with Old Amsterdam Cheese & Basil Cream<\/strong> on the side.
Everything we tried was delicious, but these were the items we would definitely come back for!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Specialty Burgers & Fries in the Center of Amsterdam<\/span><\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

First things first: the staff at Ter Marsch & Co, Kalverstraat was incredibly welcoming & friendly. Their restaurant in the Kalverstraat is situated in your typical old Dutch city house, a narrow front with wooden and stained glass windows details on the ground floor, but a surprisingly deep interior when you enter.\u00a0
Their seating is cozy, and creatively distributed among several floors, with a nice mixture of both old Dutch architecture and bright, modern colors.
Since it’s in the middle of one Amsterdam’s main shoppings streets, it’s a perfect lunch stop during your shopping spree.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Big Marsch: Limousin beef & Wagyu Burger<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All of their burgers are served medium-done, and the ones we had were prepared beautifully. We had the pleasure to try out the Big Marsch, which comes with both Limousin beef & wagyu, the Oh Cheesus, and the Crispy Chick(en). All of them have their own special added touches in terms of ingredients, while still being in harmony overall. Our absolute favorite was the Big Marsch, with its perfectly cooked crispy bacon!\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Loaded Old Amsterdam Cheese Fries<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Me being me, I had to try their fries, and I absolutely loved their loaded fries!\u00a0All of their fries are freshly cut each day, and you can get them the traditional way – in a paper cone with a sauce of your choice – or one of their loaded fries signature dishes.
We had the pleasure to try both their Fries of Mine, and the Fries with Old Amsterdam Cheese which both have grated cheese on them, so already can’t go wrong with that if you ask me! The only thing that could be improved slightly, in my opinion, was the crispiness of the fries, I like mine a tad crispier, especially when they’re smothered in sauce. <\/p>

I’ve had their Fries of Mine before, – which happen to have won best Fries in 2020 – and was more than happy to eat them once again. The Fries of Mine has a grated parmesan cheese, cheese-nut crumble, truffle mayo, and diced pork sausage, and fried parsley. Need I say more?!<\/p>

But for me the absolute winner was their Fries with Old Amsterdam Cheese. Mainly because I never had fries quite like it, and I really enjoyed having a new experience after all these years of being a fry fanatic. The basil cream combined with the Old Amsterdam cheese somewhat reminds me of pesto, and I’m all here for it!<\/p>

So if you happen to come across one of their establishments in Amsterdam – they have another restaurant in the Vijzelstraat, which is relatively close to Rembrandtplein –\u00a0 or Rotterdam, I recommend you give them a try!
